Registered Dental Hygienist
Hello and welcome! I am Dr. Hawkins’s full-time hygienist. I found my true calling in family dentistry when I joined the practice in 1996. From our youngest child to our oldest senior, my goals are to make patients feel comfortable during their dental visit and to promote overall health and well-being through a healthy mouth. I enjoy the relationships that have developed over the past 21 years with our patients, and look forward to seeing them from one visit to the next. Likewise, I appreciate the cooperative spirit and friendship of my coworkers and Dr. Hawkins.
I am married with three grown children and two dogs. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and a good book. My hobbies and pastimes include knitting, sewing, and photography.

Appointment Coordinator
You may hear my voice on the phone first as I greet you and answer questions you may have about our office and staff, or the use of any dental benefits. My goal is to help you find the best available appointment to fit your needs. E-mail and text messaging are used for appointment reminders. At your arrival, I will generally be the first person you see, and will greet you with a smile. My primary responsibility is monitoring the office schedule.
I have enjoyed seeing our young patients grow up, then driving themselves, and eventually graduating high school or college and going off to pursuing their dreams. Working with people, making patients feel welcome, and finding solutions or alternatives to challenges are how I enjoy my work here.
Personally, I love spending time with family, friends, and finding opportunities to travel — a high priority on my life list.

Financial and Insurance Coordinator
I have worked in dentistry for 19 years and started working with Dr. Hawkins in 2005. I will estimate your patient portion of your dental benefits and explain what those benefits are. I also collect your payment after your visit. My greatest joy is helping patients maximize their dental insurance benefits. It’s a pleasure to work with my coworkers and Dr. Hawkins, because they are family to me.
My hobbies are cooking, gardening, reading, working out, and traveling. I’m also an active member in my church.

Expanded Function Dental Assistant
I have been interested in the dental field since high school. I came to Springs Family Dentistry in 2010 to be Dr. Hawkins’s full-time assistant. I make sure you are comfortable during procedures, and I assist Dr. Hawkins with all fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, and partials. My favorite part of my job is taking time to explain what will take place during your appointment and answering any questions you might have. I enjoy working with all of my colleagues; we are truly like family. Dr. Hawkins and I work as a team with your needs in mind.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two boys, aged 19 and 17. I also enjoy my dogs, reading, and cooking.

I’m a resident of Altamonte Springs and graduated from Valencia College’s dental hygiene program in 1980. I am truly grateful to be working at Springs Family Dentistry with such a dynamic team. My passion for helping patients learn about and maintain excellent dental health is superseded only by the pleasure I get from being able to develop interpersonal relationships with so many nice people.
I was born in Portland, Oregon, only because I grew up an Air Force brat. My three sisters and I were all born in different states, depending on where my father was stationed. Because of this, I’ve seen quite a bit of the United States and parts of Europe. As a matter of fact, I graduated high school in England!
When time permits, I enjoy traveling, the beach, crafts, and spending time with cherished friends and family. I also enjoy relaxing walks with my sweet baby, a Cairn terrier named Stella!
